Founding directors Frank Eliel and David Corbett have held senior management positions with major international companies prior to establishing Signs Express in 1989. David is also a member of both the Executive and Policy Boards of the British Franchise Association and also sits on the European Franchise Federation Board.
Managing Director, Craig Brown, has a wealth of knowledge within the sign industry, working at Signs Express since its inception. He is the current President of the British Sign & Graphics Association and his skills and experience offer an invaluable asset to the Signs Express network.
Craig is supported by a team of over 25 industry professionals based at the International Headquarters in Norwich (UK) which provides ongoing support and advice to our 80 Signs Express production centres and is also the home of the National Accounts department.
National account customers include Mercedes-Benz, Speedyhire PLC, The National Blood Service, the Post Office and McDonalds.

The first franchise was awarded in 1992 and since then the pioneering franchise programme has grown the Signs Express group into the hugely successful franchise it is today.

Each franchisee undertakes a 4 week training course at the training facility in Norwich, learning all aspects of the business.  You will also receive on-site training at your production unit. 
Starting from your first day of training, you’ll be advised and supported by a team of 25 experts, dedicated to helping you establish and grow your business.
As well as getting help and advice in setting up your business, you’ll receive a wealth of ongoing support from the Signs Express team at our head office in Norwich who combine an invaluable mix of industry experience.
The Signs Express Franchise support team manages technical and operational queries, sales and marketing, national accounts and negotiates supplier relationships on behalf of the group. The team offers support and advice on all issues affecting your business, using their industry and specialised experience to offer a breadth of knowledge second to none

Franchisees are based in a light industrial unit which better suits the business to business market, this gives lower rents than high street locations which tend to be more suited to retail operations in the consumer market. In particular, because of the layout of the premises, all centres have a climate controlled vehicle application bay in which vehicle graphics can be applied in the best environment to ensure a quality finish.

As a management franchise, our programme is designed around recruiting experienced sign makers for the production process. Our franchisees do not need a background in the sign industry but you will need:-
