GARAGE Door Restore, which transforms old and unsightly garage doors without having to replace them, now offers its customers a faster and greener service, and its network of appointed agents a competitive advantage in the market
The company has developed a glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) garage door skin that can be attached to an existing garage door, saving customers money and needing no annual maintenance.
Recent input from business support programme Eco Innovation Programme (EIP) has helped them reduce installation time by 30 per cent, and offer customers a next day service.
Business development director Damian Webb said: “Because we are restoring doors instead of replacing them, our products have a clear environmental benefit. The EIP support has helped us to streamline our service, which is better for our customers and agents alike.”
Garage Door Restore agents come from a variety of backgrounds. Latest to join the fast growing network is Jeff Rutherford from Northumberland, a former senior business manager with 25 years experience.
Mr Webb added: “You need reasonable DIY skills, but the technique is easy to learn. This is a home based business that does not require storage or van facilities. With our projections for demand almost trebling, we need to appoint more agents.”
