Previous life
Leena graduated in International Marketing and French and went on to do a Postgraduate qualification in European Business Administration. Later, she went on to set up her own Marketing Consultancy business which she found extremely demanding and difficult to fit around her young family. Having taken her eldest daughter to Musical Minis classes and seeing a great improvement in her confidence and abilities, Leena enthusiastically threw herself into joining the Musical Minis network. Her youngest daughter is now attending 4 sessions a week with her and absolutely loves it. She is her best endorsement.
What she thinks about her Musical Minis Franchise
“I really enjoy having the flexibility of running as many sessions as I want to. I also find it really satisfying and rewarding to see a child develop so much. I wake up every morning really looking forward to my job. Every class is different and when a class ends and children come to give me a big hug I know I am on the right path - bringing fun and enjoyment to so many children.”
Her immediate success and plans for the future...
"It is really difficult for me to project where my business will be in a year's time as I'm already so much more ahead than I anticipated. When I first bought the franchise I planned to start off with 2 sessions per week and then the following term increase it to 4 sessions; in my first term I actually started off with 6 sessions! The classes have grown ever since with more planned to open in the future."

What Karen Sherr, Director of Musical Minis says...
Leena has been able to leverage her background and previous experience to accelerate her success with her musical minis franchise. A desire to work with children is absolutely the most essential ingredient we look for in a franchisee and Leena certainly has this."
About Musical Minis
Musical Minis has been operating since 1989 in North West London and was established so that pre-school children could enjoy and participate in music at an early stage in their development.
Its format was created by Karen Sherr and Patricia Elson. Karen, who has an Honours Degree in Psychology, was a play specialist at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. Patricia was a nursery school Head Teacher with over twenty years experience. Having developed the basic idea, they went on to devise a package where music and story-telling combine.
Contact Karen Sherr on 020 8868 0001 or email enquiries@musicalminis.co.uk to request a prospectus.
