After being made redundant for the second time at the end of last year, the former financial adviser had decided to invest in starting his own business rather than face the turmoil of finding another job.

During his launch weekend he took bookings from 70 customers, which equated to several weeks’ confirmed work. Business has continued to flow in and his order book is full weeks ahead.

In addition to his domestic customers, Mr Chandler is generating a regular income from commercial letting agents and contract cleaners, and his hard work and is paying dividends.

He added: “My life is infinitely less stressed. It’s very different from being a small cog in a large organisation; now I stand or fall by my own efforts. I feel more secure than I did in employment and much happier about my future."
