‘When we first looked at the franchise partnering with 10Little Pigs we thought WOW! What a unique opportunity. We were however wary - if it seems too good to be true it NORMALLY is. 

We requested some more information and received the franchise information pack in a couple
of days. Shortly  afterwards we were contacted by Richard Shakespeare, UK & European Sales Manager and felt nothing but confidence and reassurance in answer to all of our initial questions. Richard could not have been more helpful in a manner of openness and transparency into the workings of the franchise and the business and profit model. Soon afterwards we were in dialogue direct with Eddy Biggs the MD as we were looking to go to Thailand for a holiday and have a look at the possibility of moving over there permanently. 

To let you understand, Jackie and I are Scottish with our main home in Perthshire, however we have a Villa in Goa, India where we have had five good years.  Steve is shortly ending his contract in the Middle East and we were looking for our next little adventure and Thailand was looking good.

We thought well ‘let’s go on holiday’ and have a look at the 10 Little Pigs setup.  Eddy was more than happy for us to come to the farm and stay for a few days to check the operation out.  We did just that and had a great time with Eddy and Saruta, a co-director and the farms Operations Manager. They were fantastic hosts.  

What we witnessed on the farm was the care and professional handling of the stock and were lucky enough to witness a Sow giving birth to around 14 piglets.  It was an education and we noted that the staff were so calm, they knew exactly what they were doing. 
Eddy went through the business with us in great detail.  We liked what we had seen so far and decided to look a bit further into this.  We carried out a reasonable due diligence on the company, the concept, the markets, etc. 

Our findings were sound.  The company takes great care to make sure that the risks are minimised as much as it can be through the proper hygiene and procedures that they have in place. The overall animal husbandry and veterinary care we saw was excellent.
We had been looking for a business opportunity for some time now and this seems right for us.  We can live in Thailand and make some money whilst doing that.  Can’t be bad eh?
