“We wanted to do something for ourselves and recognised that a franchise would provide us with the backup we needed as well as the independent lifestyle we were looking for,” says Mrs Catermole.

“At Ovenclean we found exactly what we needed – a proven, successful business model with plenty of support from a friendly management team,” she added.

The couple started out by sharing the oven cleaning work, but more recently Mrs Catermole has taken on a home-based role handling all the invoicing, scheduling client bookings and looking after the marketing, while her husband is out with their customers.

She said: “We’ve had great encouragement from the start, not only from the franchisor, but also from our neighbouring franchisee. Now we provide database support and training to new starters and we get real satisfaction from helping new Ovenclean franchisees on the road to success.”
