Having lost his job in 2006, he decided that his next move would be to go self employed and run his own business.
He researched the franchise market and considered a number of companies before investing in his Autosmart franchise and launching a new career that last year saw him collect the silver award in the 2010 bfa HSBC Franchisee of the Year awards.
