ALTHOUGH he only launched his ChipsAway franchise in July this year, Andy Cornell is already planning to expand his business in the New Year.
Having suffered redundancy twice in three years, the former sales and marketing director turned his back on the frustrations of employment and decided he wanted to run his own business.
He said: “It was something I’d always had a desire to do and the increasingly tough times in the print industry where I worked previously persuaded me to take the leap now rather than seek another job and possibly face redundancy again.”
Mr Cornell explored a number of franchise opportunities before deciding on ChipsAway and says he is certain that joining the leading automotive paintwork repair brand was the right move for him.
He explained: “I wanted a business that was flexible, not hugely expensive, and also had the potential for growth. Now I need to decide on the best way forward, whether to take the mobile route and invest in more vehicles or instead open a ChipsAway CarCare Centre.
“I’ve had terrific support from day one, and I know that whatever option I choose for the future, I can count on the experience and advice of the ChipsAway team to help me grow my business further and achieve long-term success.”
