Although only a few months into her new career as a franchisee, she has a full order book and enquiries for work months in advance.
Based in Northumberland, Ms Peel is Ovenu’s third female franchisee and has received an excellent reaction from customers.
She said: “Around 95 percent of Ovenu customers are female, and many of them say they feel more comfortable welcoming another woman into their house when they are home alone, which helps to put them at ease.”
The former school secretary and driving instructor, got her franchise off to a flying start thanks to a publicity campaign organised by Ovenu’s retained public relations consultancy Recognition.
“As part of the Ovenu franchise package the company provides access to its PR resource, and the coverage they got for me secured a good number of bookings and is still generating calls several months down the line,” she added.
